Okay folks, this is just a short update to let people know that I have changed it so Twitter no longer posts to Facebook, and also that I’ve added my Twitter account back to to my blog to share. There will of course be other changes, but I’ll reveal them at a later date!
In the meantime however, you should see be a bit more active on Twitter with making short tweets every now and again, though I do need to start thinking about how I’m going to do things from March onwards, and depending on things, I may have to put some stuff back till April at the latest, depending on how things go for me, although I can’t see myself deviating from March right now… though time will tell.
That said however, I will announce when I can finally upgrade my PC, as I think that’s relevant info, although I do plan to record everything in advance of that date, so I can make sure that everything is sorted out. That said however, I will be ensuring that all my save files are preserved, as I’ll possibly need to do a complete reinstall of everything, but we’ll see what happens.
You unfortunately won’t see any graphical improvements with my upgrade, as I am still running with my AMD Radeon 5770 1GB, although I am hoping that my videos from a couple of weeks after that point will be 720p, as opposed to the 480p that people are used to. In any case, it will at least mean that I should be able to do games that are somewhat more demanding, and as I get to further updating my hardware, you’ll see additional improvements to go along with it!
In any case, I imagine that it will be around the start of summer when I get most things sorted, although I’ll be saving my pennies for a GTX 1050 Ti, so I can take my recordings to the next level tech-wise, as they sure as hell need it! That said of course, it does allow me plenty of time to get more used to doing LPs, and also getting better at improv! I can’t upgrade my audio hardware as of yet, because my PC really needs to be upgraded first, as even recording SOTS: The Pit can be a little taxing on it at times, especially as I am only running on 4GB of RAM, whereas the upgrade will grant me double that.
Anyway, I’ll be sure to let you guys know how I’ve progressed in that regard at the first Monthly Update, although as I said before, I’m currently scheduled to perform the upgrade at the start of summer, seeing as I need a 240GB SSD, and of course a copy of Windows to install to it. I’ll also be installing Linux Mint 18.x at the same time as well, so it may take me a bit of time before I’ll actually be doing any game recording, although as I have a video camera, I think I’ll start making use of that to do my monthly updates on occasion too, if the situation requires it!
Anyway, that’s it for now.
